A little bit about me! I am originally Syrian, Lebanese, and Turkish. Growing up in America as a middle eastern young woman often times makes it hard to embrace my heritage and who I am. As I’ve grown up and learned more about myself and my impact on the future, I’ve made it a goal of mine to represent what an American-Arab is. Finding ways to correlate all aspects of where I live and where I’m from has become a huge part of my identity. Over winter break I got to visit Saudi Arabia. Needless to say, it was extremely eye opening and valuable for me to travel to that part of the Middle East. I hope to inspire other young girls like me who want to be represented and have their voice heard.
